The Basics
This perennial evergreen grass is dense with dark green stemless foliage. During summer experience spikes of tiny, stunning lilac flowers. Its clumping growth habit reaches 12-15 inches tall (12-15 inches wide). This ornamental grass is widely used in rock gardens, seashore plantings, borders and small-scale ground cover.

Amount of Sunlight: Full to partial sun
Amount of Water: Water regularly; more frequent watering in extreme heat
Soil Conditions: Adaptable to most soils; Prefers well-drained soil
Cold Hardiness Zone: 6-11
The Care
This low-maintenance evergreen needs a regular water schedule to ensure the growth of a mature root system. After the mature root system is established, watering is needed occasionally, except during a drought, watering is needed regularly.
